There is a lot of confusion about the effects of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) on hair loss, or balding. While there are certainly some theories and anecdotal stories out there, the scientific evidence is not in favor of this link.
The human body naturally produces HGH, which helps to promote muscle growth and proper cell production. It's important for overall health and contributes to healthy development in children as well as adults. Some people take supplements or injections of synthetic HGH in order to increase levels beyond what their bodies can naturally produce, but this should only be done under medical supervision.
The short answer is no; there is no scientific evidence that suggests a link between increased levels of HGH and hair loss or balding. In fact, some studies have even suggested that taking synthetic hormones could help protect against further hair loss in men with male-pattern baldness
Male pattern baldness is the most common type of hair loss for men and usually shows up as receding hairlines at the temples or thinning hair at the top of your head. This type of balding occurs because your body produces too much testosterone, which then converts into DHT (dihydrotestosterone). DHT has been linked to shrinking follicles and slowing down new hair growth
At this time there doesn't appear to be any evidence that taking supplemental HGH or using injections would help treat existing cases of male pattern baldness or reverse existing hair loss. However, if you're experiencing unexplained hair loss it's best to speak to your doctor who can provide advice on treatment options
No - current studies indicate that there appears to be no correlation between higher levels of Human Growth Hormone and an increased risk for balding. There are many possible causes for both male pattern baldness and general thinning of the hair – including genetic predisposition – so it's best to consult with a doctor before pursuing any treatment options
